HB's first National Night Out

Sharing Hillsborough Township's announcement:

"The Hillsborough Police Department is hosting its first National Night Out on the evening of August 1st at Mountainview Park. National Night Out is observed in the United States and Canada every year on the first Tuesday in August as a way to enhance the relationship between neighborhoods and communities. There are going to be helicopter, K9, and fire department demonstrations, Kickball With the Cops, prizes, giveaways, and other fun."

The event is free. Attendees will witness live displays by Police and Emergency Services including K9, helicopter, and fire company demonstrations among others.

“We have a great night of fun and games planned, “ said Police Chief Mike McMahon. “What better way for Hillsborough residents to meet and form positive relationships with the local police?”

Also expected to be a popular attraction with residents will be a dunk tank, with prizes and souvenirs to be handed out. The event also offers an opportunity to chat with local police officers and learn more about what it takes to protect the community. Local businesses that are sponsoring the event will also be in attendance with prizes and giveaways.
